Last week’s Yazhou ZhouKan<\/a> made a special report on Dalai Lama. <\/p>\n

In the interview with Yazhou ZhouKan, Dalai Lama shared his views on varous issues, including the independence of Tibet, three missions of his life, Marxism, Chairman Mao and more.<\/p>\n

Since 2002, the delegates of Dalai Lama have had five rounds of talks with Beijing central government. But both sides have different understandings in the results of the talks. <\/p>\n

Differences remain in issues such as Tibetan autonomy and the Dalai Lama’s return to Tibet. <\/p>\n

Dalai Lama wants “Tibetan autonomy”; Beijing considers that Tibet has it already. <\/p>\n

Dalai Lama has claimed to stop seeking independence for Tibet since 1979, and he has reiterated this point many times in different occasions; Beijing does not believe that Dalai Lama is following this promise. <\/p>\n

Dalai Lama believed that both sides has made big progress in the talks; Beijing claims there is not much concrete progress in the talks. <\/p>\n

Dalai Lama wants a pilgrimage to WuTai mountain in Shanxi Province; Beijing does not answer to this request.<\/p>\n

Dalai Lama emphasized that he is not seeking independence for Tibet and he is not anti-communism. This is his consistent stand. <\/p>\n

When he visited Taiwan in the first time, he told Lien Zhan, the KMT Chairman, “I am not anti-communism.” Lien Zhan told him, “I am anti-communism.” <\/p>\n

Dalai told the reporter, “Lien Zhan is allowed to visit Beijing now, while a person who is not anti-communism can not do so.”<\/p>\n

\u9054\u8cf4\u5587\u561b\u7a31\u81ea\u5df1\u4e00\u751f\u80a9\u8ca0\u4e09\u500b\u4f7f\u547d\uff0c\u4f5c\u70ba\u4eba\u985e\u7684\u4e00\u5206\u5b50\uff0c\u722d\u53d6\u8b93\u4eba\u985e\u5145\u6eff\u6b61\u6a02\u662f\u6bcf\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u8cac\u4efb\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u500b\u4f7f\u547d\u5c31\u662f\u5728\u4eba\u985e\u793e\u6703\u767c\u5c55\u6148\u60b2\uff0c\u4e26\u8aaa\u5982\u679c\u672a\u4f86\u80fd\u56de\u4e2d\u570b\uff0c\u76f8\u4fe1\u5728\u9019\u65b9\u9762\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f5c\u51fa\u4e00\u4e9b\u8ca2\u737b\ufe54\u7b2c\u4e8c\u500b\u4f7f\u547d\u662f\u4fc3\u9032\u4e16\u754c\u4e3b\u8981\u5b97\u6559\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u548c\u8ae7\u53ca\u76f8\u4e92\u4e86\u89e3\ufe54\u7b2c\u4e09\u500b\u624d\u662f\u897f\u85cf\u554f\u984c\uff0c\u626e\u6f14\u897f\u85cf\u4eba\u6c11\u722d\u53d6\u516c\u7fa9\u7684\u4ee3\u8a00\u4eba\u3002\u7b2c\u4e00\u3001\u4e8c\u5c07\u8b8a\u6210\u7d42\u751f\u7684\u4f7f\u547d\uff0c\u5728\u5168\u4e16\u754c\u8b1b\u7d93\u3002<\/p>\n

Dalai Lama said that he has three commitments in his life. <\/p>\n

As a human, to fill the world with joy is everyone’s responsibility. So his first commitment is to cultivate leniencies within the human societies. He believes that if he can go back China in the future, he will make some contributions in this. <\/p>\n

His second commitment is to promote harmony and understanding among the major religions. <\/p>\n

Tibet is only in the last of this list. He is working for the justice of the Tibetan. His first and second commitments will become missions of his whole life; he will convey his belief to all over the world.<\/p>\n

\u4ed6\u8868\u793a\ufe55\u300c\u99ac\u514b\u601d\u5728\u7d93\u6fdf\u5b78\u4e0a\u4e0d\u50c5\u50c5\u8ffd\u6c42\u5229\u6f64\uff0c\u4e5f\u95dc\u5fc3\u600e\u6a23\u5c07\u5229\u6f64\u5e73\u5747\u5730\u5206\u914d\u7d66\u5927\u5bb6\uff0c\u8b93\u6240\u6709\u4eba\u4eab\u53d7\u9019\u4e9b\u5229\u76ca\u3002\u5728\u5be6\u8e10\u4e2d\uff0c\u5f9e\u54f2\u5b78\u7684\u89d2\u5ea6\u3001\u4e16\u754c\u89c0\u7684\u89d2\u5ea6\uff0c\u99ac\u514b\u601d\u5f37\u8abf\u4e16\u754c\u4e0a\u6c92\u6709\u6551\u4e16\u4e3b\uff0c\u9019\u548c\u4f5b\u6559\u7684\u7406\u5ff5\u4e00\u6a23\u3002\u300d\u4ed6\u611f\u5230\uff0c\u99ac\u514b\u601d\u4e3b\u7fa9\u7406\u8ad6\u5177\u6709\u666e\u4e16\u50f9\u503c\uff0c\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4ed6\u7684\u5171\u7522\u4e3b\u7fa9\u8005\u90fd\u662f\u8aa0\u5be6\u7387\u76f4\u7684\uff0c\u300c\u5982\u679c\u5f9e\u8cc7\u672c\u4e3b\u7fa9\u548c\u793e\u6703\u4e3b\u7fa9\u5169\u8005\u53bb\u4f5c\u6bd4\u8f03\uff0c\u6211\u662f\u652f\u6301\u793e\u6703\u4e3b\u7fa9\u7684\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n

He (Dalai Lama) said, “Marx did not just pursue profits in his economics; he also cared about how to distribute the profits to all equally and to benefit all. In practice, from the point of the philosophy and the world view, Marx insisted on no savior in the world, which is the same as the idea of Buddhism.” He felt, Marxism has some universal values. Those believer of Marx’ Communism are honest and sincere, “If we compare capitalism and socialism, I support socialism.”

\u6bdb\u6fa4\u6771\u628a\u4e16\u754c\u89c0\u770b\u5f97\u5f88\u91cd\uff0c\u4f46\u5230\u9127\u5c0f\u5e73\u6642\u4ee3\uff0c\u4ee5\u7d93\u6fdf\u70ba\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff0c\u7d93\u6fdf\u53d6\u5f97\u5f88\u5927\u7684\u767c\u5c55\uff0c\u4f46\u4e5f\u7522\u751f\u51fa\u5f88\u591a\u5f0a\u7aef\uff0c\u4f8b\u5982\u51fa\u73fe\u8ca7\u5bcc\u61f8\u6b8a\ufe54\u4e0d\u7ba1\u767d\u8c93\u9ed1\u8c93\uff0c\u6293\u4f4f\u8001\u9f20\u5c31\u662f\u597d\u8c93\uff0c\u300c\u73fe\u5728\u9ed1\u8c93\u8d8a\u4f86\u8d8a\u591a\u4e86\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u662f\u6700\u9ed1\u6700\u58de\u7684\u9ed1\u8c93\u3002\u5982\u679c\u8981\u6211\u9078\u64c7\uff0c\u6211\u5be7\u9858\u9078\u64c7\u6bdb\u6fa4\u6771\u91cd\u8996\u7cbe\u795e\u5883\u754c\u7684\u7406\u5ff5\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n

Mao took world view as the top priority. But in Deng’s time, economy topped the list. The (China’s) economy has made very big progress. However, that caused many problems too. For example, disparity of wealth has emerged. Black cat or white cat, the one that catches mice is the good cat, “We have more and more black cats now, and they are the blackest and worst cats. I’d rather have the idea of Mao, who insisted on spiritual value.<\/p>\n

\u4e8b\u5be6\u4e0a\uff0c\u9054\u8cf4\u5587\u561b\u4e5f\u540c\u6a23\u9762\u5c0d\u8457\u6642\u4ee3\u7684\u8f49\u6298\uff0c\u8981\u9032\u884c\u6539\u9769\u7684\u601d\u8003\u3002\u4ed6\u63a8\u52d5\u5be6\u73fe\u4e86\u6d41\u4ea1\u653f\u5e9c\u7684\u6c11\u4e3b\u76f4\u9078\uff0c\u5efa\u7acb\u8b70\u6703\u5236\u5ea6\uff0c\u4e0d\u65b7\u5b8c\u5584\u6c11\u4e3b\u6a5f\u5236\u3002\u4e26\u65e9\u5728\u4e00\u4e5d\u516d\u4e5d\u5e74\u4e09\u6708\u5341\u65e5\u7684\u8b1b\u8a71\u4e2d\u5c31\u63d0\u51fa\ufe55\u300c\u9054\u8cf4\u5587\u561b\u7684\u5236\u5ea6\u662f\u5426\u6709\u5b58\u5728\u7684\u5fc5\u8981\uff0c\u8981\u7531\u897f\u85cf\u4eba\u6c11\u4f5c\u51fa\u6c7a\u5b9a\u3002\u5982\u679c\u4eba\u6c11\u9078\u64c7\u7e7c\u7e8c\u9700\u8981\u9054\u8cf4\u5587\u561b\u7684\u5236\u5ea6\uff0c\u4eba\u6c11\u8003\u616e\u7522\u751f\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u4e5f\u8a31\u50cf\u9078\u8209\u6559\u7687\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u6559\u7687\u53bb\u4e16\u4e86\uff0c\u5f9e\u5176\u4ed6\u5927\u7684\u4e3b\u6559\u4e2d\u9078\u3002\u300d<\/p>\n

In fact, Dalai Lama is facing a time of change too. He needs to consider reform. He is the driving force behind the implementation of direct election, congress, and consistent improvement of the democratic system in the (Tibetan) exiled government. Early in his speech on March 10th, 1969, he said, \u201cThe necessity of Dalai Lama system should be decided by the people of Tibet. If the people choose to keep the Dalai Lama system, they should consider how Dalai Lama is selected. Maybe, Dalai Lama, like the Pope, when passes away, can be elected from the cardinals.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I did not need any approval when I fled (from Tibet), but it is required when I want to go back.” However, He (Dalai Lama) still believed that, after the recent five rounds of talks, it become much better to direct contact with Beijing. They were getting to know one another’s way of thinking, and further understood another party’s stand. Dalai Lama said that, his delegated had very good receptions, and the atmosphere were very good too. “That was a big difference with what the China’s Ministry of Foreign Affair had said. So I don’t know which is true.”<\/p>\n

“If I pass away in exile, I will continue my unfinished task. So Dalai Lama’s reincarnation will only come up from a free world. Beijing will definetely appoint one. The result will be two (Dalai). I often tells the media, in the future, there may have two Dalai Lama: one is the Dalai Lama required by the government; another is the Dalai Lama lives in Tibetan’s heart.<\/p>\n

Han and Tibetan have got along well for thousands of years. … Compared with the European’s, Han’s habits and customs are more close to Tibet’s. Dalai Lama said, “If Han and Tibetan can live together friendly, they can suely complement each other. Tibetan can provide Han spiritual nutriment, while Han can supply Tibetan food.”

\u9054\u8cf4\u5587\u561b\u57fa\u672c\u4e0d\u770b\u96fb\u8996\uff0c\u4e3b\u8981\u662f\u807d\u5ee3\u64ad\uff0c\u9078\u7684\u9084\u662fBBC\uff0c\u6bd4\u8f03\u559c\u6b61\u82f1\u570b\u6587\u5316\u3002<\/p>\n

Dalai Lama basically does not watch TV. Mostly, he listens to radio. He normally listens to BBC. He like British culture more.<\/p>\n
